A Highland teenager who had been missing for three days has been found safe and well.
Dillon Thorpe, 14, left home in Teaninich Street in Alness on Friday evening.
His grandmother, Shirley Simpson, who looks after him, revealed he had been spotted in Strathpeffer today.
And police said this evening he had been found in the local area.
Officers had been focusing their searches in Alness and Dingwall.
Ms Simpson said earlier in the day there were “grave concerns” for Dillon’s welfare.
She added: “I just love him to bits.
“He is a loving, caring and kind boy.
Dillon is a pupil at Invergordon Academy.
Police had put him in the “high risk” category when he vanished.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We can confirm that Dillon Thorpe, who was reported missing from Alness, has been traced safe and well in the local area.
“We would like to thank to everyone who assisted.”
