The 15-year-old male was at the pedestrian crossing outside the Averon Centre at around 10.50pm on October 19 when the incident occurred. He was crossing the road when a silver 4×4 pick up with a crew cab and rear load cover stopped. A man then got out of the vehicle and carried out an “unprovoked assault on the youth”, police said. The man is described as being in his twenties to early thirties, tall and slim wearing a white beanie hat.
