The cause of the blaze, on an unidentified farm east of Tain, is being investigated. No-one was injured. No properties were evacuated. The alarm was raised shortly before 5pm and the fire extinguished by 6.45pm. Firefighters from Tain were assisted by colleagues from Dornoch, Invergordon and Inverness in tackling the blaze. Under modern rules, the fire service refuses to disclose the precise location of fires to the media.
