Two Americans with an online following of millions have joined forces with VisitScotland to promote a long list of the Highlands’ top tourist attractions.
Social media stars Trex Tuesdays are currently on a Scottish leg of a UK tour.
They dress up as dinosaurs and film their attempts at human tasks.
They have already been spotted at Loch Ness, Jacobite Chartered Cruises, Dochfour House, Aldourie Castle, Urquhart Castle, Tomatin Distillery, Chisholm’s Highland Dress, Dores Beach and Inverness Castle.
VisitScotland chief executive Malcolm Roughead is celebrating the help of two “monster attractions” who finally got to meet the region’s own monster.
He said: “It’s wonderful to see Trex Tuesdays giving their followers a taste of Scotland and meeting our very own prehistoric creature, Nessie.
“However, with its awe inspiring scenery and rich history and heritage, you don’t have to be a dinosaur to enjoy the Scottish Highlands.”
Breathing life into the Tyrannosaurus Rex, the duo have travelled extensively across the UK and posted videos to prove it.
Trex Tuesdays earlier explored London, where they followed the footsteps of the Beatles by recreating the famous Abbey Road crossing, visited Big Ben and played some rugby in Wales.
VisitBritain marketing director Robin Johnson said: “Make no bones about it, it’s a fantastic time for Trex Tuesdays to visit.
“Britain is not only offering great value but also a feast of amazing experiences that T-Rex can only get here, from walking in the steps of their ancestors on the Jurassic Coast and chewing the fat with Nessie.
“We’re thrilled they’re sharing their amazing moments with their thousands of fans and inspiring more people to book a trip to the UK.”
The duo said: “Britain has such great history and since we’re 65million years old, we really appreciate that.
“We loved the bustle and pomp of London, explored the lochs and hills of Scotland and climbed castles and played rugby in Wales. It was more than a vacation, it was an adventure.”
