An “elderly” man has been cut free from a car after a two-vehicle crash on the A9.
The A9 is currently closed near Alness after the accident just after 4.30pm.
Emergency services are currently at the scene, including three fire crews from Invergordon and Dingwall.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said one” elderly male” was trapped and had been freed by firefighters using cutting equipment to remove the roof of his vehicle.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said the man was taken to Raigmore Hospital with “significant leg injuries” and another casualty was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
