A Highland high school is hoping it will be third time lucky as it makes an extra effort to recruit a new technology teacher.
Nairn Academy has launched a short video clip to try to attract interest in the post.
Head Teacher, Julie Macdonald said: “We are on our third attempt at trying to find a technology teacher to join our award winning Technology Department which was ‘Technology department of the Year 2015’ as voted by Technology Teacher Association (TTA) as well as pupils winning TTA awards for the last two years.
“The department has a very healthy uptake of pupils with excellent links with the local community through projects, for example NairnAwaits, Nairn Play logo, music therapy design and branding as well as WEIR group competition finalists.
“We think this is a fantastic opportunity to come and live and work in the seaside resort of Nairn which is a beautiful part of the Highlands of Scotland. This is a permanent post offering £22,416 – £35,763 and Highland Council has a comprehensive relocation package which may be available to the successful candidate.
“We’ve made a short video clip explaining why people should apply and hopefully this will be third time lucky for us and we’ll find a new technology teacher to join the team.”
