Police have appealed for witnesses to a robbery in Alness earlier this week.
A teenage boy was reportedly robbed of a two figure sum of money by two unknown men on Tuesday at about 7.55pm.
The two men approached the boy on a pathway between Pipersfield and Kirkside and following a “brief altercation” the men made off with the money.
The boy was uninjured.
One of the suspects has been described as being around 6ft in height, of medium build and wearing a blue tracksuit with ‘Nike’ written on the trouser leg and the hooded top.
A police spokeswoman said: “Officers are carrying a number of lines of inquiry, including door to door calls in the local area, and would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to make contact via 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
