One man had to be cut free from his vehicle by firefighters after the incident yesterday morning. A spokesman for the ambulance service said none of the people taken to Raigmore Hospital were thought to be seriously injured. The accident happened at the A9 Inverness to Thurso road’s junction with the B9174 Knockbreck Road near Tain’s Asda supermarket at about 9.40am. The road was initially completely blocked but emergency services were able to open one lane to allow traffic to clear as they recovered the vehicles.
