Achfary Primary School has been mothballed since the summer of 2012. Pupils were instead rezoned to Scourie Primary School. The council consulted earlier this year on the permanent closure of the school. Scottish ministers have now been notified of the plan and they will now have an eight week period in which to decide if they will intervene.
