Three people have been taken to hospital after a crash on the A9 in heavy snowfall this morning. Emergency services headed to the scene at between Dalmagarry and the Slochd Summit at around 9.30am. A Peugeot van and Renault Scenic were involved in the accident and firefighters used cutting gear to free an elderly patient from one of the vehicles. A police spokesman said: “Three casualties were taken to Raigmore Hospital where they are not deemed to be in a life threatening condition. “Drivers are thanked for their patience during the road closure.” The road was closed in both directions for several hours. It re-opened just around midday.
