The A9 Inverness-Perth road has fully reopened after a tanker jack-knifed in blizzard conditions at Drumochter earlier this morning.
The accident happened about four miles south of Dalwhinnie at 7.55am.
Police said that the tail end of the tanker was blocking one of the lanes of the single carriageway.
A spokesman added that a recovery vehicle was initially called from Invergordon but high winds prevented it from crossing the Cromarty and Kessock bridges. A crane was then called out and used to recover the vehicle.
The road was fully reopened at 2.45am.
The tanker driver was unhurt as a result of the crash.
