A man exposed himself and acted “in an inappropriate manner in front of members of the public” in an Inverness shop, police said.
The incident happened on Friday, December 23 at around 5.30pm in a store on Inverness High Street.
He is described as white, in his mid-50s, of a slim build with grey receding hair.
He was wearing thin-rimmed glasses, a dark jacket and trousers and was last seen at around 5.34pm walking alone in the direction of High Street.
Constable Matt Cameron said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything that could assist with our inquiries to contact Police as soon as possible. Likewise if you recognise a man fitting the description provided please contact Police as soon as possible.
“While no specific members of the public were targeted as such, it was obviously a distressing incident for those in the vicinity at the time. I would like to reassure the public that extensive inquiries, including CCTV work, are ongoing.
