The walker is reported to be in difficulty in the Northern Corries area of the range. Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team said the walker is thought to be hypothermic and in a “state of collapse”. Concern was raised for the walker around 3.20pm. The Inverness-based coastguard helicopter Rescue 951 has been sent to the area. However, it is understood that low cloud is hampering rescue efforts involving the helicopter. The incident comes just a day after Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team located a couple who survived spending a night in Arctic conditions on Cairn Gorm.
