A hillwalker who was showing signs of hypothermia has been rescued in the Cairngorms.
The man was spotted by passers-by in the Northern Corries area of the range before mountain rescuers were called to help him to safety.
It was the fourth call-out of 2017 already for Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team, who were assisted by instructors from Glenmore Lodge and the coastguard helicopter from Inverness.
The Rescue 951 helicopter was unable to access the man’s location in poor weather conditions but was able to fly the rescue team close.
The rescue teams were able to find the man and administer treatment at the scene.
He was then taken to where he could be evacuated by helicopter.
His exact condition is unknown.
Cairngorm MRT leader Willie Anderson was thankful for another successful rescue operation but added the team’s year was “getting a wee bit busy”.
