Some residents in the Poolewe area have been without mobile phone signals for the last fortnight.
Rhoda Grant MSP has now intervened and has made contact with O2 about the issue.
She said “Clearly the recent storm has caused damage to the mast in the Gairloch/Poolewe area, but for customers to have to wait 14 days for a repair is not acceptable.
“I have made contact with O2 today (Thurs) and they advised that they were aware there was a problem, but they were waiting for permission from a third party to allow the repair.
“After my intervention, the company said they would now escalate and try and make sure repairs were carried out as soon as possible.”
