Drivers were forced to battle against treacherous conditions on Scotland’s roads today after snow storms brought accidents and delays to routes.
Emergency services and gritters were out in force all over the country in an effort to deal with the worsening conditions.
On the A9 at the Drumochter Pass, Highlands, several lorries jackknifed across the road as they struggled to deal with the weather.
Police constantly patrolled the area to quickly be on hand at the site of any accidents.

Difficulties brought on by the weather in Aberdeenshire were particularly bad.
The snow gates had to be closed on the A93 at Braemar, while the route between Cockbridge and Tomintoul was also closed off.
Earlier in the morning, a lorry was blown over on to the side of the A90 near Stonehaven due to the high winds in the area.
