Highland man threatened to headbutt another in local pub… Then ran away when police tried to arrest him

A young joiner appeared in the dock for causing a rumpus in his local bar and running away from police when they arrested him.
Connor Bailey, 21, admitted the breach of the peace on May 27 at the Misty Isle Hotel in Dunvegan and attempting to pervert the course of justice by running away in the main street outside the nearby Cellar Bar.
Fiscal Robert Weir told Portree Sheriff Court yesterday Bailey was shouting and swearing in the Misty Isle’s bar and was told to be quiet.
He said: “Do not tell me what to do. This is my local.”
Bailey threatened to headbutt another customer and carried on swearing so the police were called.
Officers located him at the neighbouring Cella Bar but he ran away when arrested.
He was tracked down next day.
Said Bailey, of The Cottage,Talisker,Carbost: “It was a stupid,drunken night and I regret it.”
Sheriff Bill Taylor fined him £250 and ordered him to do 60 hours unpaid work.
