More than 90 jobs are expected to be created at Wick Harbour as part of the £10million spin-off from major offshore renewable energy contracts in the coming months.
Work on the £2.6billion, 84-turbine Beatrice project is due to start this year. A separate Dounreay offshore wind project is also proposed.
Wick will be a springboard for the massive project and businesses hope to benefit from £10million worth of infrastructure improvement at the port.
Other employment possibilities have been opened up with the creation of a nuclear archive centre in the wake of the decommissioning of the Dounreay atomic plant.
The area also hopes to capitalise from major transmission line upgrades by SSE.
