Police have confirmed that the body found on an Argyll beach is missing Oban woman Crystalla Dean.
The 52-year-old was last seen in the Oban area on Thursday, December 15.
A multi-agency search was launched for Ms Dean involving specialist police officers and local mountain rescue personnel, police dive teams and coastguard ground teams.
On January 5 a body was found on the shore at Ardmucknish Bay near Benderloch.
Today police have confirmed it has now been formally identified as Ms Dean and her relatives have been informed.
A force spokeswoman said: “A post mortem examination has been carried out and the death is not being treated as suspicious. A full report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
