Man dies after being crushed by car outside home

A man has died after being crushed by a car on a driveway in the Highlands.

The 55-year-old died after being hit by the unoccupied vehicle on private property in the Navidale area near Helmsdale.

The accident happened around 4pm on Friday.

It is understood the man died at the scene.

A police spokeswoman said: “There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course.”
