A large quantity of diesel has been stolen in a remote part of the Highlands.
The fuel, worth a three figure sum, was stolen from machinery and a fuel tank close to Achnashellach railway station in Wester Ross.
The diesel was removed some time between 4pm on Monday and 8am yesterday.
Police are now investigating and have urged anyone who saw anything unusual to make contact.
A force spokeswoman said: “As part of ongoing inquiries, police are appealing to anyone who heard or saw anything suspicious, including unfamiliar people or vehicles in the area.
“Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
