A Ross-shire teenager was celebrating after his 11-year-old border terrier Jock claimed a prestigious prize at Crufts 2017.
Jock played a starring role alongside owner Hunter Macdonald, walking away with the overall Young Kennel Club Groomer of the Year award at the world’s largest dog show in Birmingham.
Presented by the Kennel Club, this year’s Crufts marked the 126th edition of the show, which attracts dogs and owners from all over the world as well as thousands of visitors over the course of the four days.
Hunter, a Dingwall Academy pupil, could not be more delighted with Jock’s performance
“I just can’t believe it – when I went up to my mum afterwards all I could say to her was that it was unbelievable,” he said.
“It’s fantastic and a dream. It’s actually happened, I can’t believe it. I didn’t even think I would win my category so to be the overall winner is just amazing.”
