A major search has been launched for a person feared to have fallen from cliffs in the north of Skye.
The operation is ongoing in the area around Kilt Rock in the Trotternish area between Portree and Staffin.
A spokesman for the coastguard confirmed that several ground teams have been sent to the area, along with the Portree lifeboat.
The Stornoway Coastguard helicopter has also been sent to the area.
A police spokeswoman said: “Following a call from a member of the public, police attended at Kilt Rock and with the help of the coastguard are trying to locate the member of the public to ensure they are safe and well.
“The incident is ongoing and more information will be released in due course.”
Stornoway Coastguard are also dealing with a second incident, described as involving a person “in distress” on the coast.
The coastguard helicopter is covering both incidents and a ground team from Stornoway has also been sent to provide support.
Kyle lifeboat has also been sent to the area.
