Police searching for a man have recovered a body from the water in Skye.
Officers were called by a member of the public at around 11am today who was concerned about a man.
Along with the coastguard they launched a search for him.
The force have now confirmed that a body of a man was recovered from the water near Kilt Rock, Skye at around 4pm.
He was assisted by medical professionals but died.
Inspector Lynda Allan said: “We are making efforts to contact the man’s next of kin. There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and as is standard a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
