Barra Lifeboat Station received a call at 7:15pm from the fishing vessel situated six nautical miles east of South Uist asking for assistance. A lifeboat was swiftly dispatched and the vessel was towed by the lifeboat to Eriskay Harbour, arriving around 11:30pm.
