A Highland leisure centre had to be evacuated after an electrical fire yesterday.
Twenty people were told to leave Dingwall Leisure Centre just after midday yesterday.
Firefighters from Dingwall and Beauly attended at the centre after the fire was discovered in the plant room.
A spokesman for the service said the fire was put out after the electricity was isolated.
Leisure centre manager Lisa Macdonald said: “Centre staff reacted very quickly and the 20 customers and staff in the building at the time were evacuated safely in line with our emergency procedures.
“I would like to thank the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service personnel who attended the incident, they were at the scene within minutes of receiving the call.”
Technicians were on site and the Leisure Centre was expected to remain closed until further notice as investigations continued and remedial work was undertaken.
High Life Highland said it would keep people updated and thanked customers for their patience.
