A 36-year-old Wester Ross fencer and concreter who drunkenly abused his father and sister was fined £650 at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday.
Robert Munro, of Kielburn Crescent, Lochcarron, admitted behaving in an abusive and threatening manner on November 6 last year at his father’s house.
He also pleaded guilty to assaulting a police sergeant by kicking the door of a police van as he was arrested.
Fiscal depute Ross Carvel said: “The door swung open, missed a constable by millimetres but it carried on its path and struck a police sergeant on the arm.”
