VIDEO: Dash-cam footage captures last-minute swerve as car overtakes

This is the moment a car had to swerve to avoid a collision with a lorry as it overtook on a Highland road.

The footage was captured by Matty Downie, a lorry driver from Inverness, who was travelling from Dingwall along the A835 towards the Tore Roundabout.

The video shows a grey van overtake Mr Downie with another lorry in the distance in the opposite lane.

As the other HGV comes closer, a dark-coloured car can be seen overtaking and moving back into its own lane, just avoiding colliding with the lorry.
