A Highland woman is to cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats in support of an animal charity.
Beth Osborne from Lairg expects to take 13 days to complete the challenge, setting out on May 20.
Choosing a charity to support was an easy decision as she’s always been an animal lover.
She will raise funds for the Scottish SPCA.
Ms Osborne said: “I’ve always been a keen cyclist and have toyed with the idea of taking part in this challenge for a few years.
“I’ve recently started to improve my fitness so I used this as a way to stay motivated.
“I am proud to be taking part in the challenge to support the oldest and largest welfare charity in Scotland that helps save abused, abandoned and injured animals.
“They were an obvious choice for me as I feel it is important to highlight the Scottish SPCA’s cause. Scotland’s animals need us.
“I would rehome all of the animals in the care of the Scottish SPCA if I could.
“I’ve worked in kennels in the past and have two dogs.”
