The injured rider was taken to hospital.
The 66-mile race started and finished in Inverness, and a record 5200 riders signed up for the event.
The first etape took place in 2014, when more than 1000 riders took part in the race around Loch Ness.

A police spokeswoman said: “We were informed of a collision between two cyclists on the A82 at around 8.35am Sunday morning.
“A 54-year-old man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.
