Police are appealing for information after a youth exposed himself to a female dogwalker in Dingwall.
Officers received a report of an indecent exposure which took place within Maggie’s Wood at around 6.15pm on Tuesday evening.
Area Inspector David Ogilvie said: “We would like to speak to anyone with information about a male described as being between 16 and 18-years-old, around 5ft6 with short brown hair.
“He was wearing a grey coloured hoodie and dark trousers. The area is popular with dog walkers and may have been reasonably busy around the time in question, so I would urge anyone who thinks they saw a person matching this description to get in touch.
“The woman in her twenties who reported this incident to police was not approached or harmed in any way, however it would have obviously been unsettling for her and made her feel extremely uncomfortable.
“This type of incident is extremely rare in the area and I would like to reassure the community that we are taking this report extremely seriously.
“Uniformed officers will be giving particular attention to the area and I would urge anyone with information that could assist with our inquiry to contact Police on 101 or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you would prefer to remain anonymous.”
