Two paragliders taking advantage of soaring temperatures were rescued after crashing into Highland mountains.
A flyer was airlifted to hospital after hitting a mountain which was the film set for Harry Potter and other movies.
The man suffered a suspected broken pelvis after hurtling into Clachaig Gully – about 1,000ft up the hill.
Nineteen members of Glencoe Moutain Rescue Team rushed to his aid after being alerted to the crash. Deputy team leader Brian Bathurst said: “He was conscious and we made him comfortable and put him on a stretcher ready to be airlifted.
“Glencoe is popular with paragliders and I think he may have hit some unstable turbulence.”
A coastguard search and rescue helicopter from Inverness airlifted the injured man to Raigmore Hospital in the Highland capital after the incident at about 9pm on Thursday. His condition is unknown.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch have been informed.
Filming for the third Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, took place on location at the gully in May and June 2003.
Three sets were built near to the bottom of Clachaig Gully.
Another paraglider broke a leg in a crash on a hill in the Cairngorms.
The man came down on Meall A’ Buichaille, a 2,657.5ft hill above Loch Morlich near Aviemore, at 12.30pm on Thursday.
Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team and a coastguard helicopter went to their aid.
The paraglider was also airlifted to Raigmore Hospital.
A walker in Wester Ross was also airlifted by the rescue helicopter to Inverness on Thursday night. The man suffered a leg injury in the Kintail area around 8.20pm. His condition is also unknown.
