A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital after a crash on a Highland road over the weekend.
The incident happened on the A95 between Aviemore and Grantown at the junction for Boat of Garten.
The road was closed for two hours after the accident happened at around 11am on Saturday morning.
The male motorcyclist, who is in his 30s, was airlifted to the Raigmore Hospital in Inverness following the incident.
It was confirmed afterwards his injuries are not serious.
The accident is also believed to have involved a car, but police added there were no other casualties apart from the motorcyclist.
The road was shut to allow emergency services to work at the scene and for debris to be cleared.
A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We dispatched two ambulances at 11.06am and also the air ambulance. A male in his 30s was taken by air ambulance to Raigmore hospital.”
The motorcycle came to rest on its side in the grass verge at the junction for Boat of Garten, next to a fence.
The bike was later recovered.
It is the second crash involving a motorcyclist on the north’s roads in the last few days.
A man was airlifted to hospital on Friday after being involved in an accident with a car on the A831 Drumnadrochit to Cannich road.
The motorcyclist was also taken to Raigmore Hospital.
It is not believed he was seriously injured.
The occupants of the car were not injured.
Meanwhile, police are appealing for witnesses after a female cyclist was seriously injured in a collision involving a van on the A96 Alves to Elgin road.
The incident happened near Argye House in Elgin about 3.45pm on Saturday.
The collision involved an eastbound silver Volkswagen Transporter van and an eastbound cyclist.
The 59-year-old female cyclist sustained serious injuries and was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin by ambulance.
The male driver of the van was uninjured.
