An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with an alleged serious assault following a disturbance in Alness earlier this week.
Officers were called to the Coulpark area of the town at around 9pm on Wednesday, finding a 39-year-old woman who had suffered serious injuries.
She was subsequently treated at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident.
In addition, two other men aged 15 and 35-years-old were charged with alleged disorder offences.
