Two people were rescued from the water this afternoon when their sailing boat capsized in Loch Ness.
RNLI’s Warrior boat was deployed at 2.23pm after the pair’s boat overturned.
They were checked over by medics at the Drumnadrochit lifeboat station when they returned to land, and the crew headed back out to try and salvage the Wayfarer sailing vessel.
Maeve Ryan, spokeswoman for RNLI, said: “There were two persons in the water. Both were experienced and were wearing life jackets.
“They were taken out of the water and were being checked by ambulance staff back at the station, but they both seemed fine.
“The crew went back out to see if they could pick up the boat.”
