The road was blocked by a two vehicle collision near the Glen Spean Lodge Hotel between Roybridge and Laggan. The accident happened at about 8.50am. A spokeswoman for the fire service confirmed they had sent two crews from Fort William and a further crew from Spean Bridge to the scene. They used cutting equipment to free casualties from the vehicles. Their condition is currently unknown. An air ambulance attended at the scene. In a statement, police said: “Police Scotland are in attendance at a serious Road Accident on the A86 at Roybridge. “The road is closed and will be for sometime. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.” The road re-opened at around 1pm.
