A fire has broken out in the engine room of a fishing vessel in the north west Highlands.
The vessel caught fire out at sea, north of the village of Scourie, halfway between Ullapool and Durness.
A Scottish Fire Service spokeswoman said: “We received a call to say there was a fire in the engine room of the fishing boat which was off the coast of Scourie at the time.
“Crews left around 12.30pm to check over the vessel which is making its way back to the slipway at Scourie.”
A spokesman for HM Coastguard based at Stornoway added: “We are currently working on this incident. There was a fire earlier on the fishing boat, but everyone is safe and well.”
