Locals and visitors are preparing for another wet weekend in Oban, but for once it is not the weather they have in mind.
The West Coast Whisky Feis will showcase the many whiskies and gins produced in the area.
Hundreds of samples of whisky and gin will be available to try at Skipinnish Ceilidh House tomorrow. (sat) There will also be ales and local food to sample.
This is the first time the event, which takes place from noon until 6pm, has been held. It has been organised by Oban Whisky and Fine Wines Shop.
Euan Finlayson, owner of the shop, said: “People from the distilleries are going to be exhibiting. Visitors will get the chance to speak to the people involved in making the stuff.
“There are so many great whiskies and gins being produced on the west coast of Scotland we thought it would be a good idea to host an event where we can get all of the producers under one roof showcasing their products.”
