An Irn Bru lorry left a busy Highland road just hours after a three vehicle smash on the same route yesterday.
The delivery lorry – emblazoned with “The Bru Must Get Thru” – left the Loch Ness side of the A82 between Lochend and Drumnadrochit.
It is understood the driver, who was on his final delivery of the day to Drumnadrochit, moved to avoid an oncoming lorry and travelled for about 50 yards alongside grass and a barrier wall.
Diesel was spilled on the road following the incident yesterday afternoon, with restrictions being placed on the busy route as a result.
The A82 had been closed to southbound traffic earlier in the day following a crash east of Invermoriston.
Police were called at 12.20pm following the collision, which involved three vehicles, and a Honda Civic required recovery from Bear Scotland workers.
There were no injuries as a result of the crash, but the closure caused major tailbacks on the route.
It was believed to have been caused after a car broke down close to a bend while travelling southbound, and a lorry reportedly went around the stationary vehicle and was involved in a collision with another car heading north.
They were the latest in a series of incidents on the A82 this summer.
Last month, an ambulance collided with a motorcyclist as it was returning from another crash on the road.
Two people were required treatment after a small bus overturned at the Invergarry section.
But the ambulance transporting one of the casualties then collided with a motorcycle further north on the road by Loch Ness.
