Singer Eddi Reader is performing in the back garden of the Duke of Argyll this weekend as Best of the West Festival gets underway.
Taking place at Inveraray Castle on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the event celebrates the music, art, crafts, food and drink of the area.
Music headliners include Skipinnish and Heron Valley on Friday, Skerryvore, Blazin’ Fiddles and Hunter and the Bear on Saturday, and Eddi Reader, Tide Lines and Dr Hip and the Blues Operation on Sunday.
Many more bands are set to play throughout the festival, from local pipe bands, young talent, Gaelic, traditional and modern folk musicians.
Celebrity chefs demonstrating their skills on the festival kitchen stage include Gary Maclean – winner of Masterchef The Professionals 2016, Graeme Cheevers of Martin Wishart Loch Lomond, Paul Leonard of Isle of Eriska Hotel, Andrew Maclugash of Samphire Restaurant in Inveraray and Thai chef Sujitra Scott.
Eleanor, Duchess of Argyll, Best Of The West Festival founder and chairwoman, said: “This year’s Best of the West Festival looks set to be the biggest and best yet. As well as a fantastic programme of musicians, we have celebrity chefs, some of the finest craftsmen in the country and a whole host of children’s entertainments to keep all the family busy.”
The Loch Fyne Whisky Marquee will offer a perfect opportunity to sample a range of the finest west coast malts, while the award-winning George Hotel, Inveraray will host the beer and cocktail bars.
