Police are appealing for witnesses

A 15-year-old boy has been charged following a disturbance in a Highland village.

Police were called to Muir of Ord on September 25 to investigate reports of an assualt. A 78-year-old suffered minor facial injuries and had to go to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment.

The teenager has also been reported to the relevant authorities, police confirmed.

Inspector David Ogilvie said: “I’m grateful for the support of the public and the information that has been provided during the course of this investigation.”
