A local family were glad they interrupted their holiday in the Lake District to attend the Mod, for young Holly Dodman, one of the youngest clarsach players in the competition, won the Lawrence McDuff cup yesterday.
Holly, nine, who has been playing the clarsach for two years, is taught by the well-known local player, Ingrid Henderson.
The Banavie Primary School pupil had little time to rest after her first Mod win, however, as the family had to catch a bus back down to the Lakes – to celebrate and to resume their holiday.
