A 37-year-old man from the Kingussie area was killed in a collision with a HGV on the A9 yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the Inverness to Perth road near to its junction with Lynwilg at around 3.55pm. Fire crews and ambulance also attended.
A police statement read this morning:” The 37-year-old male car driver sustained fatal injuries. A full collision investigation was undertaken with a detour in place via Aviemore.
“While a number of witnesses have already come forward with information, we would ask that if anyone else witnessed the incident and has not already provided a statement to Police, please get in touch by calling 101 quoting incident number NM-7239-17.
“Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased at this time and we wish to thank motorists for their understanding during the subsequent police investigation.”
