A grave at Thurso Cemetery has been targeted by thieves.
Police in Caithness are appealing for information following the thefts.
It is believed that thefts have occurred on two separate occasions from the same grave in the Mount Vernon area of the town sometime between Monday September 4 and Monday October 23.
Items left in memory of the deceased were removed from the grave.
Constable Stephen Mezals said: “The items which have been stolen are of sentimental value to the family involved and their theft has caused significant distress.
“Anybody with information relating to these incidents should contact police in Thurso by calling 101, quoting reference NJ5979/17.
“Information can also be left anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
