Three north women have been charged with attempted murder following a crash in Ross-shire.
A blue Peugeot 307 and a white Ford Transit van collided on the A9 near the Evanton overpass in Easter Ross at around 1.15pm on Sunday.
Nobody was seriously injured in the crash, but police later confirmed three women had been charged.
Yesterday, Agnes Stewart, 21, of Invergordon, Mary Stewart, 46, of Conon Bridge, and Lauren MacArthur, 23, of Invergordon, appeared in private at Tain Sheriff Court.
The women have each been accused of assault to injury and to the danger of life and attempted murder.
They made no plea and were committed for further examination and released on bail.
