A team of eight were called out mid-afternoon to assist a party of three who were lost in darkness on the plateau. The rescuers used a tracked vehicle to gain height, and found the climbers stuck at around 3500ft (1066m). A Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team spokesman said: “[The] rescue took about five hours in all in clag and snow. “Not a night to spend out on the tops.”
