Firefighters have been battling a house fire near a Highland village for more than 19 hours.
The blaze broke out at a detached home near Kiltarlity at about 4.45pm yesterday. A fire service spokeswoman said that by 5.20pm, the whole building was on fire and flames were coming through the roof.
Four appliances – two from Beauly and one each from Drumnadrochit and Inverness – went to the scene along with a water carrier from Inverness.
The spokeswoman said that crews are still “damping down” what is left of the structure and that there will be a fire investigation.
She added that no one was inside the building at the time of the fire.
