Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious crash on the A9.
The two-vehicle collision happened yesterday at around 12.55pm and involved a blue Toyota Hilux and a red Vauxhall Viva.
It occurred near to Dalnaspidal, between Dalwhinnie and Blair Atholl.
One of the people involved was airlifted to hospital and two others were taken by road to hospital following the accident.
Traffic was left at a standstill for more than four hours, with tailbacks reported to be as long as eight miles in some areas.
A police spokeswoman said: “As part of ongoing inquiries anyone who witnessed the collision who has not been in touch, particularly to the driving of either vehicle prior to the collision, is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
