Police have issued travel advice as nearly a week of severe weather warnings came to an end today.
Snow and ice warnings have been in place for the north of Scotland since Tuesday.
Temperatures are expected to rise over the next few days but following the expiry of the Met Office’s warning, officers said there is still a stage two – travel with caution – warning from them for today.
A police spokesman said: “Stage two means that you should travel with caution and that conditions for road travel may be hazardous.
“Please make sure your vehicle is free of snow and ice and that you have appropriate supplies with you should the weather take a turn for the worse.”
