The funeral of a Free Church minister who never gave up hope of finding his missing daughter is to be held tomorrow.
Rev Kenneth MacDonald died at the weekend, aged 83, never knowing what happened to 19-year-old Alison, who vanished in the Himalayas 37 years ago.
Tributes flooded in for the minister following his death.
Miss MacDonald, who was raised on the Isle of Skye, went missing while on a backpacking journey in Kashmir in 1981.
Mr MacDonald, known as Kenny and a much-loved and respected former minister for Rosskeen Free Church of Scotland, spent thousands of pounds making almost 20 trips to Kashmir and Pakistan seeking the truth.
He always said: “I know in my heart she is alive.”
A funeral service will take place tomorrow at 10am at Rosskeen Free Church.
